About The Role

FWI is always on the lookout for highly talented individuals who are willing to work in rural India. As the Human Resources Manager, you will play a crucial role in helping us streamline our recruitment processes, which may involve building and maintaining relationships with universities and fellowship programs, such as campus hiring or rural fellowship hiring, to ensure we attract the right talent.

In addition, you will support the Managing Director by managing employee relations, overseeing training and development programs, and ensuring compliance with legal standards.

 

Success in this role requires strong recruitment expertise, excellent communication and leadership skills, and a deep understanding of HR best practices.

LocationRemote, although candidates who intend to work part or all of the year out of our office in Eluru, India, are preferred.

Compensation: INR 50,000 - INR 90,000 per month, with some flexibility for candidates with greater experience

How You Will Make a Difference

The Human Resources Manager will oversee talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance, and organizational development while maintaining a positive and productive workplace.

The following are the primary responsibilities of this role:

1. Lead outreach, hiring, and onboarding processes

  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent

  • Manage the entire recruitment process, from job postings to onboarding

  • Collaborate with department heads to identify staffing needs and write job descriptions

2. Support the Managing Director with day-to-day HR operations

  • Handle employee relations and performance management

  • Develop and enforce HR policies in compliance with legal standards

  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and manage employee benefits

3. Collaborate with the Managing Director for staff training and development

  • Identify training needs and implement programs to enhance employee skills and drive professional growth

  • Organize and coordinate training sessions and workshops

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs

4. Manage employee relations

  • Address employee concerns and grievances

  • Implement strategies to improve employee satisfaction and retention

  • Foster a positive work environment through open communication and collaboration

Qualifications

Required Criteria

  • Nationality: Only open to those with the right to work in India.

  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. HR certification is preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in human resources and recruitment.

  • Language Skills: Proficiency in both written and spoken English is essential. Fluency in Telugu is a plus.

  • Cultural commitment: Strongly committed to the cultural values of FWI.
